The growing number of internationally mobile students intensifies competition among host countries, which goes beyond the market for educational services. In the long run, it is the competition for human capital that is crucial for economic development. This study aims to deepen the understanding of educational tourism as a distinct form of educational mobility. The article reviews the literature and analyses existing approaches to the definition of educational tourism. By analysing different types of educational mobility, the paper proposes a classification based on the goals, age of travellers and stages of career development that better emphasises the unique features of educational tourism. Taking into account the interdisciplinary nature of educational tourism, the paper considers it within the framework of the concept that the authors call "MET: Mobility, Education, Tourism". This approach allowed the authors to propose a definition of educational tourism that better reflects the nature of this phenomenon and distinguishes it from other types of educational mobility. The authors have identified key factors that influence the development of educational tourism, including technological progress, globalisation of education, economic factors, government initiatives, educational innovations and current trends in the labour market. Based on the findings, this paper offers principles for promoting educational tourism, emphasising the concept of Tourist Lifetime Value (TLV). This approach takes a long-term view of educational travel, taking into account the potential for lifelong learning and repeat visits. В процесі дослідження було визначено основні тенденції розвитку освітнього туризму в умовах інтернаціоналізації освіти. Проаналізовано також передумови та чинники розвитку освітнього туризму і виділено основні принципи стимулювання його розвитку. This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of educational tourism based on the analysis of international academic mobility. International academic mobility is considered as a component of the development of the scientific and educational industry, which also has a significant impact on the general socio-economic progress. International educational tourism is one of the manifestations of academic mobility. In the process of research, the main trends in the development of educational tourism in the context of the internationalization of education were determined. This article also analyzes different approaches to the definition of educational tourism and examines the essence of this phenomenon. Educational tourism is defined as trips with an educational purpose lasting from overnight stay to one year, which may be accompanied by recreational activities. A classification of educational tourism by objectives, age of travelers, and stages of their career development is proposed. Educational tourism is considered as a complex, interdisciplinary phenomenon, which is demonstrated with the help of the graphic model "MET: Mobility, Education, Tourism". The proposed approach to the classification of types of educational mobility according to the objectives and duration of stay in the host country made it possible to distinguish between day visits, tourism, other types of educational mobility, temporary educational migration, and migration. The prerequisites and factors of the development of educational tourism are also analyzed, and the main principles of stimulating its development are highlighted, in particular, the application of the concept of the lifetime value of the client, i.e., taking into account the value of each visitor in the long term.Документ Organizational and economic mechanism of regulation of international educational migration(2020) Reznik, Nadiia; Fedun, Igor; Smutchak, Zinaida; Petukhova, Olga; Artamonova, GalinaThe article considers the peculiarities of migration processes in Ukraine. Attention is focused on the trends of educational migration. The positive and negative consequences of educational migration for recipient countries and donor countries have been identified. The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of modern educational migration, in particular in Ukraine, as an urgent problem of higher education, to identify its features, consequences and identify the main measures to ensure its regulation. Organizational and economic bases of the mechanism of management of educational migration are developed, formation of which is impossible without building active cooperation of the basic subjects - institutional bodies of the state, employers, establishments, public organizations, youth volunteer organizations and associations and able-bodied young citizens entering the market of educational services, and later on the labor market (based on a survey conducted to identify the level of potential educational migrants). В статті розглядаються особливості міграційних процесів в Україні. Увага акцентована на тенденціях прояву освітньої міграції. Виявлено позитивні та негативні наслідки освітньої міграції для країн-реципієнтів та країн-донорів. Мета статті полягає у розкритті особливостей сучасних освітніх міграцій, зокрема в Україні, як актуальної проблеми функціонування вищої освіти, виявленні її особливостей, наслідків та виявленні основних заходів щодо забезпечення її регулювання. Розроблено організаційно-економічні засади механізму управління освітньою міграцією, формування якого неможливе без побудови активної співпраці основних суб’єктів – інституційних органів держави, роботодавців, установ, громадських організацій, молодіжних волонтерських організацій та об’єднань і працездатних молодих громадян, які виходять на ринок освітніх послуг, а згодом і на ринок праці (на основі проведеного соціологічного дослідження, з метою виявлення рівня потенційних освітніх мігрантів).Документ Strategic development of higher education in Ukraine(2018) Dragan, Olena; Tertychna, Liubov; Rybak, NadiiaRealization of active long-term reformation of higher education in Ukraine promoted of getting corresponding results and consequences, that was represented on its modern state. The analysis of these changes allows to investigate existent tendencies that were in development of higher education of Ukraine for the ground of its further prospects. Methodology of this research is totality of theoretical and scientific methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, theoretical and logical generalization, prognostication. The existent position of Ukraine in the different rating that belong to the estimation of higher education of the country is analysed. On the basis of statistical and analytical materials of Government statistical service of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ukrainian institute of scientific and technical and economic information is investigated the tendencies that the modern state of higher education of Ukraine is characterized during the period of 2010-2016: the high level of higher education availability among the population, reduction of higher educational establishments, preparation of specialists in the fields of knowledge, preparation of foreign students of highereducational establishments in Ukraine in the cut of countries. Educed problems of higher education are: low level of state financing, nonappropriateness of the distribution system of government order to the queries of labour-market and country’s progress, increase of educational migration trends. Reasons of educational migration and negative factors that assisted on it are investigated. The prognosis of quantity of potential university entrants of higher educational establishments to 2034 to on the basis of index of birth-rate and actual value of middle amount of entrants to higher educational establishments during the period of 2007-2017, that testifies the positive prospects for the set of potential students.The necessity for further reformation of higher education with the aim of providing of high level of quality of education on the basis of OECD indicators in relation to education and introduction of norms, standards and basic principles of European higher education are described.
