Abstract

The destruction of the dual-species bacterial biofilm of Bacillus subtilis BT-2 and Staphylococcus aureus BMS-1 by a complex of tea tree essential oil and surfactants of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus IMV B-7241 synthesized in the presence of Enterobacter cloacae C-8 was studied. The complex caused more effective biofilm destruction than the corresponding individual biocides, regardless of the physiological state of the inducer. The maximum degree of biofilm destruction reached 72–86% at biocide concentrations of 320–640 μg/mL
