The use of artificial intelligence to calculate forecast values for time series

Abstract

This paper examines time series forecasting as a vital tool for the economy, finance, medicine, energy and logistics. It explains that traditional methods have limitations, whereas artificial intelligence enables more accurate predictions of future trends, the processing of big data, and the consideration of various factors. Examples of AI applications are provided — ranging from forecasting cryptocurrencies and demand in logistics to diagnosing diseases and forecasting electricity consumption. It is demonstrated that modern algorithms reduce forecasting errors and open up new opportunities for business and society. У роботі розглянуто прогнозування часових рядів як важливий інструмент для економіки, фінансів, медицини, енергетики та логістики. Пояснено, що класичні методи мають обмеження, тоді як штучний інтелект дозволяє точніше передбачати майбутні тенденції, працювати з великими даними та враховувати різні фактори. Наведено приклади застосування ШІ — від прогнозування криптовалют і попиту в логістиці до діагностики хвороб та прогнозування споживання електроенергії. Показано, що сучасні алгоритми зменшують похибку прогнозів і відкривають нові можливості для бізнесу та суспільства.
