Abstract
The article compares knowledge-based and data-driven intelligent technologies in anti-crisis management of HoReCa equipment. The study is relevant due to market instability and demand fluctuations. It finds that knowledge-based techs, relying on expert systems and decision rules, excel in data-scarce, atypical crises, offering interpretability and problem localization. Data-driven methods, using machine learning and IoT, enable predicting failures and optimizing processes to prevent crises. The key result highlights that a hybrid model combining both approaches overcomes individual limitations: data-driven ensures continuous monitoring; knowledge-based aids in critical decision-making. Reliability coefficients are proposed to evaluate such systems. The study also outlines barriers like high costs, integration challenges, and formalizing expert knowledge. Ultimately, hybrid tech ensures adaptable digital ecosystems supporting sustainability, competitiveness, and transitioning to intelligent maintenance amid uncertainty.
