Abstract
The full-scale military invasion and resulting instability have fundamentally altered the operational landscape for industrial enterprises in Ukraine. Under these conditions, the food industry, acting as a vital strategic donor of national security, faces challenges that cannot be resolved within traditional management models. The relevance of the article lies in the need to rethink classical business process reengineering, transforming it from a tool for market efficiency into a mechanism for ensuring the physical survival and economic resilience of business entities. The paper focuses on functioning under exogenous shocks, such as the destruction of energy infrastructure and disruption of logistics. Special attention is paid to the contradiction between rigid technological regulations (HACCP standards) and the urgent need for operational flexibility to react to sudden military threats. The article discusses the methodological foundations of project reengineering in the context of crisis management. It analyses the evolution of the reengineering concept and provides a comparative analysis of modelling methodologies, examining the capabilities of IDEF0, BPMN 2.0, and ARIS notations. The discussion centres on the limitations of monomethodological approaches in wartime, where static models fail to reflect the dynamics of threats. Consequently, the paper raises the issue of methodological syncretism essential for sustainability to achieve a synergistic effect. Furthermore, the article explores the classification of specific "trigger events" (security, energy, and logistical) that disrupt standard procedures. It investigates the principles of constructing a dual and adaptive management system capable of functioning in both normative and emergency modes. The study addresses the formalisation of the reengineering algorithm, covering the sequence from diagnostic audit to the integration of alternative scenarios. The research emphasizes that under martial law, economic resilience transforms into a derivative of the structural flexibility of business processes.
