Abstract
The ability of Nocardia vaccinii IMV B-7405 surfactants synthesized in the presence of the phytohormone biosynthesis precursors tryptophan and erythritol to destroy phytopathogenic bacterial biofilms was studied. The addition of the precursors increased biofilm destruction by 1–8% compared with surfactants synthesized without them. Biofilm destruction reached 45–67% for Xanthomonas vesicatoria UCM B-1106, 48–68% for Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato IMV B-9167, and 37–62% for P. syringae UCM B-1027ᵀ
