A study of current methods for solving multi-criteria selection problems

Abstract

The study analyses the theoretical foundations, computational procedures, advantages and limitations of the AHP, TOPSIS, ELECTRE and SMART. The study aims to examine these methods in various decision-making contexts, considering the nature of the problem, the degree of uncertainty, the need to verify consistency, and the cognitive characteristics of decision-makers. Based on the analysis, recommendations are proposed regarding the selection of appropriate multicriteria decision-making methods, and promising directions for further research are identified, the development of hybrid approaches that combine the strengths of different methods to improve the quality and reliability of decisions.

У дослідженні проаналізовано теоретичні основи, обчислювальні процедури, переваги та обмеження методів AHP, TOPSIS, ELECTRE і SMART. Метою дослідження є вивчення цих методів у різних контекстах прийняття рішень з урахуванням характеру проблеми, ступеня невизначеності, необхідності перевірки узгодженості та когнітивних характеристик осіб, що приймають рішення. На основі аналізу запропоновано рекомендації щодо вибору відповідних методів багатокритеріального прийняття рішень та визначено перспективні напрями подальших досліджень, зокрема розроблення гібридних підходів, які поєднують сильні сторони різних методів для підвищення якості та надійності рішень.
