Abstract
The paper substantiates managerial decisions for improving event organisation in hotel enterprises. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that modern hotels increasingly depend not only on accommodation and catering services, but also on complex event products, including conferences, business meetings, banquets, corporate events, weddings and private celebrations. It is established that event activity generates additional revenue, stimulates demand for restaurant services and room inventory, strengthens the hotel brand and helps reduce seasonal volatility in occupancy. The analysis of the event portfolio shows the predominance of business and corporate segments, which corresponds to the hotel positioning but creates dependence on the dynamics of business tourism. The main organisational problem is the absence of a separate unit responsible for the full cycle of event planning, coordination, creative development and control. Under such conditions, part of the functions is distributed between the conference service and the banquet department, which complicates communication, slows decision-making and restricts the development of personalised event products. It is proposed to create a specialised Department of Event Organisation and Coordination with three key positions: head of department, event organiser and creative manager. Additional directions include the development of personalised event products, active promotion of festive and private events during periods of reduced business activity, and involvement of external contractors for photography, video production, floristry, animation and performances. The expected effect includes better interdepartmental coordination, broader event-service assortment, higher service personalisation, more efficient use of the material and technical base, and the transformation of event organisation into a strategic revenue-generating direction for the hotel.
