Уведення в канву неоромантичного вірша мариністичної символіки визначається як спроба акцентувати розвиток загальнокультурного символу в літературах різних епох і країн, вивести його з зацікавленості авторів у відтворенні прадавньої світоглядної картини, де чільними постають образи природи – предковічні архетипи Батьківства і Материнства. Diversification of poetic forms at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 21st century is marked with re-interpretation of marine images: the sea as the essential symbol of immensity, freedom and mystery; the seashore as the place of enlightenment and philosophical reflections; the ship as the analogue of human soul to be in perpetual search and anxiety.
