Сучасний етап побудови інформаційного суспільства характеризується активним використанням віртуального середовища та формуванням систем електронних інформаційних ресурсів. Рух за забезпечення вільного доступу до результатів наукових досліджень розвивається в усьому світі. Інституційні репозитарії стають популярним видом спеціальних інформаційних ресурсів. Завданнями інституційного репозитарію є забезпечення місця і способу централізованого довгострокового зберігання і використання в електронному вигляді повних текстів документів. Підкреслюється зацікавленість університетів у відкритому доступі, оскільки підвищується репутація, престиж і рейтинг їх в науковому світі. Аналізуються політики функціонування сховища, проблеми наповнення і перспективи розвитку. This article examines the experience of creating the repository of the National University of Food Technologies. Modern stage of creating information society is characterized by wide usage of virtual reality and forming electronic information sources. As the world moves towards open access to the scientific results, the institutional repository becomes a popular provider of specific information sources. The main purpose of such a form of information collection is to provide the place and method for long- lasting storage and usage of full texts documents. Open access to research information is a very important step for universities and helps them to improve their reputation and standing in the scientific sphere.
