Формозмістові особливості альбому Стінга "The Bridge"

Abstract

У статті розглянуто формальні та змістові особливості нового альбому Стінга «The Bridge» (2021) з урахуванням авторських інтенцій, виражених у концептосфері самотності, відокремленості, фізичного та духовного нездоров’я, соціального дистанціювання людей одне від одного, але з другого боку – пошуку «мостів» між культурами, епохами, країнами та народами. Із точки зору поетичної мови, прикметною особливістю пісень альбому «The Bridge» є питальна інтонація, котра подеколи визначає композицію цілого вірша й відтак відкриває перед реципієнтом нові когнітивні обрії, прилучаючи його до співтворчості та апелюючи до власного емоційного досвіду. The author of this article examined the formal and substantial specifications of Sting’s new album “The Bridge” (2021), regarding the writer’s intentions revealed in the concept sphere of loneliness, separation, physical and mental unhealthiness, people’s social distancing, but, on the other hand, – searching for ‘the bridges’ between cultures, époques, countries and nations. In terms of poetic language, the prominent feature of the majority of songs from “The Bridge” is the interrogative intonation that determines the composition of the whole verse and therefore opens the new cognitive horizons to a recipient, involving the one into mutual creativity and appealing to one’s own emotional experience.
