Подано класифікацію аварій, які можуть відбуватися на потенційно небезпечному технологічному об`єкті. Наведена блок-схема розвитку першопричини аварії зовнішнього характеру і запропоновані основні формули для підрахунку ризику виникнення аварій і збитків від цих аварій.
