Abstract
It was conducted the research for a purpose to determine the dependence of the temperature of the working members of the roll mill on the degree of grinding of the pigment suspension. The degree of grinding was carried out with a "Klin" grindometer, the temperature was measured by a noncontact pyrometer. Than smaller the particle size that needs to be grinded, than greater the energy needed to lead to the process, and the more heat will be released. When the suspension is grinded, its temperature increases from 26.4 to 32.6 С, with the intensive increase in temperature from 29.3 to 32.6 C, and the particle size decreases from more than 90 μm to 10 μm, with the most intensive grinding for the first pass.
