    The article analyzes the practical use of social networks in the educational environment on the example of teaching and learning foreign languages in educational institutions of various types. After all, the digitalization of education requires the introduction of modern methods, techniques, and forms of special training for future professionals in higher education. In turn, this requires the creation of a strong information infrastructure in higher education institutions with a developed information learning environment, and the use of Internet technologies, communication networks, and e-learning. The author examines the advantages and possibilities of using social networks, since the modern world is saturated with information and communication technologies, and the vast majority of these resources can be successfully used in the educational space. The article discusses in detail several social networks in the educational process, for example, their use in foreign language learning in the classroom. For example, the use of social media by teachers in online learning allows students to better learn the material, as there is no time limit for viewing educational material or commenting on it, which is impossible to achieve in standard face-to-face learning. Digital resources optimize the learning process by making it mobile, individualized, and differentiated. First, the article discusses the use of TikTok, then Instagram and blogs in foreign language learning in classes at various types of educational institutions. It is noted that the using social networks in the educational environment is a powerful tool for preparing students for communication in the English-speaking environment. And it helps to solve a number of problems for teachers. In particular, it helps to overcome the negative impact of interlanguage interference and to keep up with modern technological advances, both inside and outside the classroom. It also makes learning English fun and meaningful for students, which are two essential ingredients in a successful teaching recipe
