Функціонування метонімії та синекдохи в мовосвіті письменників ХХІ століття

Abstract

У статті досліджено особливості функціонування метонімії та синекдохи в мовосвіті письменників ХХІ століття. Метонімія є джерелом додатково інформації і виконує підсилювальну функцію. Синекдоха виникає внаслідок перенесення назви частини на предмет як ціле, за умов ситуативної номінації та ілюструє риси зовнішності, внутрішні якості людини, які різнопланово характеризують її. In the article the features of the functioning of metonymy and synecdoche in the literary language of the 21st century are explored. Metonymy is a source of additional information and performs an enhancement function. Synecdoche arises as a result of the transfer of the part's name to the subject as a whole, in the context of a situational nomination, and illustrates the features of the appearance, the internal qualities of the person, which diversify it.
