The accounting industry is a service industry that provides technical assistance to companies for recording and reporting financial information. Accounting in Ukraine is very much document-driven and requires more human resources than in the west. Accountants spend most of their time dealing with tax authorities, rather than on real commercial accounting. Despite the many problems the profession is one of those that will always be useful and in demand in all sectors and areas.
