Пісенна лірика Стінга в українських перекладах: формозмістові аспекти

Abstract

У цій статті окреслено принципи відтворення формальних (образності, мови, просодії) та змістових (тематика, проблематика) характеристик в українських інтерпретаціях пісенних творів Стінга. До опрацювання взято знакові тексти («Fragile» з альбому «…Nothing like the Sun», «Shape of My Heart» з альбому «Ten Summoner’s Tales», «Desert Rose» з альбому «Brand New Day») і менш відомий «The Wild Wild Sea» з альбому «The Soul Cages». The principles to reproduce the formal (imagery, speech, prosodic) and substantial (topical and problematic) features of Sting’s song verses interpreted by Ukrainians are outlined in this paper. The objects of this research were the famous tracks («Fragile» from «…Nothing like the Sun», «Shape of My Heart» from «Ten Summoner’s Tales», «Desert Rose» from «Brand New Day»), together with such a hidden gem as «The Wild Wild Sea» from «The Soul Cages».
