Food industry in Ukraine: problems and prospects of development

Abstract

Food industry unites dozens of industries, the main of which are: sugar, milk, oil and fats, bakery, confectionery, meat, alcoholic beverages, ect. Like any other industry, it has certain features. In particular products produced by food enterprises relate to essential commodities and therefore they are in constant demand (half the budgets of domestic households are spent for food). The industry has close integration connections with agriculture and thus improvement of efficiency of enterprises that belong to it is impossible without solving the problems existing today in the livestock and crop production.
